At our firm, we have the client—and only the client—in mind.

Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. We feel a commitment to our community.

At our firm, we have the client—and only the client—in mind.

Over the years, we have found that a team approach can be an effective method to help clients who have a wide variety of needs as they maneuver through a complex financial-services world. We invite you to discover and experience the power of our services. We believe it has far-reaching benefits for our clients to get opinions from several sources with diverse backgrounds, education, and experience.

Welcome to your journey towards customizing a financial road map for your future. My name is Frederick Lowe, but I go by Rick. I have served clients in the financial services industry since 1997. First with a regional bank in Maryland, then a national brokerage firm, AG Edwards until they were sold, and then to the largest international broker dealer, UBS leaving them after 4 years and founding FSL Advisors.

During all of those years, I had the privilege and opportunity to build fantastic relationships with clients from retirees, to small business owners, professional athletes, doctors, accountants and lawyers.

The biggest take away from those relationships were the diversity of their needs and the desire they had to not be “put in a box” but rather be treated individually with custom strategies created for their individual needs. This required me to draw on the widespread experiences I had while running our family business, leading by example from my military service and building teams from both the public, private and non profit backgrounds in the business community I served as president of the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary club.

While there were overlapping areas of needs, each presented unique problems in finance from insurance to cash flow and on to preservation and succession. Some were looking for charitable donation legacies, while others needed to focus on family education legacies, retirement income solutions, property preservation and wealth  transfer to future generations.

I spend my down time these days with the grandchildren but can often be found pursuing my hobbies on the golf course, boating skiing or at the shooting sports range.

If working with a highly committed team of financial professionals to craft an individual financial road map sounds appealing to you, please reach out to Sean or myself to start a conversation to determine if we are the right fit for you, and conversely, if you are the right fit for us.

Hello and welcome!
I’m grateful for the opportunity to share a little about myself with you. I’ve been in the financial industry for nine years, including five years with JPMorgan Chase. In September 2021, I made an exciting decision to join my father, Rick, at FSL Advisors Inc., partnering with LPL Financial as my broker-dealer.

Helping others has always been one of my greatest passions, and this career path has given me countless opportunities to make a meaningful difference—especially within my local community. Through honesty, integrity, and experience, I work with clients to create personalized financial strategies that help them pursue both short- and long-term goals, whether that’s planning for retirement, leaving a legacy, or making a major life decision.

I’m originally from the East Coast, where I spent time in New York, Maryland, and New Jersey. I have lived in San Diego for the past 9 years, where I met my lovely wife, and had our first daughter. We recently moved to North Carolina, as we wanted to be closer to family, as both my brothers, and parents live in NC. I am a huge foodie, and love the opportunity to try all the new, and local food out here (especially the seafood)!

When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My wife and I love going to concerts, catching sporting events, and—of course—discovering new food spots! Giving back to the community is also important to me. While in San Diego, I was a member of the Oceanside Rotary Club, actively served at my local church, and coached lacrosse at Rancho Buena Vista High School. Now, as my family and I settle into Carolina Beach, I’m excited to continue building connections and contributing to the community here.
